Hey, you've hit a 5000 book goal! YOU HAVE SURPASSED US ALL!

And now that Dawson has fallen into the habit of sleeping in 5 minute increments for 3 hours a day, if your Twitter is to be believed, we are your BIGGEST CHEERLEADERS whatEVER goal you set! <3

- LexieThe Honest Bookclubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11459426023919815702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5901173538948742448.post-61089500492788687642016-01-03T03:05:06.069+00:002016-01-03T03:05:06.069+00:00WE SHALL DO 80 TOGETHER, JENNY! But 80 is a respectable and doable goal that leaves breathing room, so with 80 we shall go.

I intend to cheer you just as hard! It's a process in steps. It goes like this:
1. "Hey, change is awesome!"
2. "Why haven't we done this ages ago?"
3. "Uh... why is this all... messed up?"
4. "HTML is hard. Or is this CSS."
5. "I kinda remember why we haven't done this ages ago now."

So, as per usual, we're back to our old ways. SOMEDAY, THOUGH! I remember asking you about your switch to Paper Fury and how you switched to WordPress and everything, and... you are our idol. As usual. When we grow up, we want to be Cait.

I am also TERRIBLE at DNFing, but I'm not ready to change yet. You are not alone. And DEBUTS NEED SOOOOOOOO MUCH SUPPORT! I SOLEMNLY SWEAR (THAT I AM UP TO NO GOOD, BUT ALSO) TO DO BETTER BY DEBUTS! We can't honestly moan about NaNoWriMo and then only reach for known authors. Shame on us!

I HEREBY INVITE YOU TO HOGWARTS, SCHOOL OF BOOKS AND WIZARDRY! 'TIS AN OPEN INVITATION, AND GOOD FOR FOREVER! And, as you now know, Hogwarts has both dragons AND chocolate!

- LexieThe Honest Bookclubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11459426023919815702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5901173538948742448.post-41803436421940804702016-01-03T02:59:03.725+00:002016-01-03T02:59:03.725+00:00We are FIRMLY of the opinion that any overtime/ext...We are FIRMLY of the opinion that any overtime/extra tips/sudden influx of money is DESIGNATED BOOK MONEY! You are NOT alone in this, and we fully sympathize. You can always come to us for an impromptu Book Buyers Anonymous meeting, but... we can't promise to be much help. When one of us wants to buy a book, the other goes DO IIIIIT! We're very enabling. It's bad form. We should be slapped on the wrist with a paperback!

We shall try (and fail) at our 2016 resolutions together! And good luck to you, too! (Also, thank you very much for the comment.)

- LexieThe Honest Bookclubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11459426023919815702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5901173538948742448.post-76765387472283891102016-01-01T20:36:13.508+00:002016-01-01T20:36:13.508+00:00Great resolutions, ladies! I used to read 4-5 books a week and I just can't keep that pace anymore, so Lexie I'm with you on that 80 goal. It seems much more doable for sure:)

I shall be your cheerleader throughout the year. Best of luck, it's looking great! ;D
ANYWAY.
These resolutions are fabulous. I'm still trying to figure out mine. I mean...it shouldn't be too hard right?! And I LOVE MAKING LISTS. But gahhhh. I never know what I want to achieve. hehh. I DO want to read more debuts too!! BECAUSE DEBUTS NEED SUPPORT. Also i actually need to learn to DNF. x) I'm terrible at it and always end up suffering through books that make me want to eat a brick wall.
Can I come live in your hogwarts made out of books too, Lexie? That hasn't stopped me so far (the reasoning is that if I cover an extra shift at work, it's money I wouldn't have otherwise earned, and can therefore be spent on books...I'll think of any excuse, really).

Good luck with your resolutions, ladies. Hopefully they're more fruitful than the 2015 ones (I say this every year, and every year I manage to fail each and every one).Loony Literatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03592322807799645323noreply@blogger.com
