It's Colleen Hoover hour once again at The Honest Bookclub. Apart from the International Women's Day, for us March 8th also signified a mere two day wait until one of our most beloved authors' new title is released. We are talking, of course, about Confess, due on March 10th, which we have already waxed rhapsodic about first when it was announced, and then again when the cover was revealed. Now that the lengthy wait is all but over...

... our hearts are not ready.

Over time, however, we have come to accept that our hearts will never be ready for Colleen Hoover's books - new and old alike, and to delve into a new one is to rip off a bandaid and embrace the burn.

This is also very much true for long-anticipated (and longer-since announced) November Nine. The wait was more than lengthy for this one. Last summer we mistakenly marked it down as a 2014 release, then proceeded to correct ourselves and fangirl at length in our Top 10 Most Anticipated 2015 Releases. But in reality, it never really dawned on us how close we were to it until this very moment. Because today, the cover for November 9 has been revealed. And it is everything we could have hoped for, and more.

This is where we say drumroll and build up the anticipation, but your eye has already slid down to the cover (compliments to the artist), so without further ado...

Be still, our hearts. We might be in love with this book without ever having met Ben or Fallon. It's the joint effect of Colleen Hoover's talent and this incredible, incredible cover. In overall style, the cover is reminiscent of that of Confess, even if in terms of the content it isn't. The white backdrop coupled with colorful double-exposure makes for a terrific, eye-catching book, and we cannot wait to hold it in our hands and read and re-read it forever. And if the synopsis is any indication, the neutral backdrop hints at the protagonist's/love interest's profession - much like the plain, white canvas of Confess does. And as for this synopsis, and the brief snippet from the book? It will kill you inside just a little. But this is Colleen Hoover, and heartbreak is inevitable.

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel.

Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?

This is a love story between a guy (me) and a girl (Fallon).
I think.
Can it even be considered a love story if it doesn’t end with love?
Mysteries end when the mystery is solved.
Biographies end when the life story has been told.
Love stories should end with love, right?
Maybe I’m wrong, then. Maybe this isn’t a love story. If you ask me… I’d say this might even be considered a tragedy.
Whatever it is—however it ends—I promised I would tell it. So without further ado.

Once upon a time… I met a girl.
The girl.

If you can count on something in this ever-changing world of New Adult, it is that Colleen Hoover simply never stops giving. From her book-a-day giveaways (across all social media platforms) to the gift of incredible stories she writes, CoHo is championing altruism like it's nobody's business. In that vein, on her website, Colleen has unveiled this cover (because, let's be honest, it's an equivalent to a work of art) and announced a giveaway of a signed copy of Confess. Moreover, both Confess and November Nine are available for pre-order. And to make your lives easier, as always, we have compiled the pre-order links below.

November Nine is currently only available for pre-order via Amazon.com, but as always we'll keep our UK/international readers and visitors updated and share the links as soon as it becomes available for pre-order via other platforms.

Colleen Hoover lives in the United States with her husband and three children. She loves to write in her spare time and prefers stories that are both humorous and heart-wrenching. Her goal through writing is to give readers a pleasant experience that will leave them viewing life from a slightly different angle.

You may find her on her website at www.colleenhoover.com, or on her Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

November Nine will be Colleen Hoover's fourth book released in 2015, following her collaboration with Tarryn Fisher for Never Never and Never Never 2, and the impending release of Confess. To say we are impressed would be almost as big of an understatement as it would be to say we're thrilled. As CoHo hipsters, we've been following her work from the Slammed onward, both individually and together once we met and started this blog. So it goes without saying that - yes - a review of Confess is coming up, along with anything and everything Colleen Hoover. If you're as excited as we are, leave us a comment below, or find us on social media. Fangirling strongly encouraged.
