When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.
Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
Maybe.

'A bitch who finally met the right asshole'
I would complain and say 'it's too short' but I'm just thankful she even gave us anything extra. I'm a humongous Colleen Hoover fan, Maybe Someday wasn't my favourite book that she's done but I did absolutely love it. But now? I love that story even more! We have a new look into Ridge and Sydney's world but from a different perspective - Warren and Bridgette's.
We didn't get a huge amount from them in the first book but we finally get to see what the hell was going on between these two. It was interesting, it was exciting and it was emotional. There's so much more to Warren and Bridgette and it was heartbreaking, more on Bridgette's side.
I don't want to spoil too much but we delve into Bridgette's past and realise why she is how she is. I like that there's a real reason that she's a bitch and that she's not a bitch just because. She's secretive and keeps herself to herself, not letting anyone really get close to her, although she needs the closeness. Her traumatic past introduces a 'roommate with benefits' system but it was short lived as, well...I want to say that Warren was a complete sweetheart but you know he's not. He still has his cheeky side, his banter and his short temper, but in the end, he's lovely and the perfect guy for her. Well matched.
The pranks were hilarious! I love pranks anyway and the ones that they came up with and played on each other were so brilliant, which gave me ideas. Bad news for people who know me...But it worked really well, they bonded over similar interests including their great prank ideas and it produced a love-hate relationship between them, and we all love those!
The scenes when they were together were very steamy, I can see that Colleen is getting more comfortable in writing sex scenes as her earlier books didn't really include them. Well, not as detailed anyway. It was different to see Bridgette in control as apposed to the guy in books always being the dominant one. There was a reason for it though, considering her past, and that was interesting.
Can't not love 'enemies to lovers' books. If you do read this, I highly recommend you read Maybe Someday first, although it is possible to read just this one. We get to see Ridge and Sydney which was nice, like a bit of a cameo, and Bridgette thinking Sydney's deaf was in this book. That's always funny.
Overall, if you love Maybe Someday then you'll love this. It's only a novella so it's not very long but it's still a very enjoyable story involving some well-loved characters. Definitely give it a read if you're a Colleen Hoover fan. She never disappoints!
