If you have stopped by this blog before, you'll be well-aware of the amount of love we have for the Thoughtless series here at The Honest Bookclub. Anything remotely related to it, we will be reading it and fangirl like crazy. 

Though originally conceptualized as a trilogy, us fans of the series have been lucky enough to get the author, S.C Stephens, to pen a book written from Kellan's POV. At The Honest Bookclub, we've been doubly as fortunate, because we got a very, very early ARC copy of the book. And it is every bit as marvelous as we expected! (A review will be up around the release date - stay tuned!)

But this isn't where the Thoughtless-joy ends. S.C. Stephens has decided to give us all a heart attack - yet again - by opting to write another book in the series, this one from Griffin's P.O.V. To say we were excited would make for a serious understatement. We were THRILLED. Although he has his moments of supreme jackassery and is at times very inappropriate, we can't help but to adore Griffin. So being able to read a book from his own perspective is in all likelihood going to be the time of our lives.



Only a month or so a go, we got a name for the book - Untamed. Now, we don't know about you, but we feel it's a fitting one. But we were still very curious as to what the book would be about and when it would be set, in the overall timeline. Is it pre-Thoughtless? Mid-series? Post-Reckless? Well, we finally know. Goodreads was updated and we have a summary. Curious? We bet you are! Come check it out and we can fangirl together!




The cover for Untamed has not yet been released, but it's a small wonder. It was quite a wait for the Thoughtful cover so it's safe to assume that particular wait will once again be lengthy. Having said that, we can't help but to hope it will happen sooner than we expect. As our motto dictates, we're nothing if not bookish optimists.



And if you're not aware of the series or haven't yet read it, we do highly recommend you give it a go. If you're into that kind of thing. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's worth a consideration. We've recently coaxed a few of our Goodreads followers into picking it up and the response has been overwhelmingly positive (this, by the way, is also an understatement). So without further ado, here's the long-anticipated synopsis of Griffin Hancock's own fifteen minutes of fame - and hopefully much longer.


Griffin Hancock is tired of being stuck behind Kellan Kyle's spotlight. He's the best, the main event, and everyone should know it. He has Anna, and his beautiful daughter Gibson, to hell with the rest of them. A new venture presents itself, and Griffin decides this is his chance. When he tells the band about his new side gig, they tell him it's a terrible idea, so Griffin breaks ties with the band. Anna tries to be supportive of Griffin, but soon she's done, too. Realizing all he's lost, Griffin looks to find a way back to the life he threw away... but can he convince Anna that he's a changed man?

Just what we hoped for. Post-Reckless! Griffin and his need to be more famous than Kellan (no surprise there). Leaving the D-Bags though? Oh Griffin. You'd be lost without those boys. We're all very curious to what his new project could be, and we know it'll be hilarious. Him and his ideas. We certainly remember the ones he mentioned in previous books about, what was it, God Rock? Yeah, hopefully it won't be anything that'll end up with him getting beaten up or severely embarrassing. Knowing Griffin, though... it's more than a possibility.


The epilogue of the official series was a very satisfying one at that. We can't help but to wish Griffin an equally happy one, however much he might mess things up beforehand. We don't want people upset and the guys bond to be broken. They're a family. (If it seems like we're pleading with S.C. Stephens here... it seems right.)


Are you as excited as we are? IMPOSSIBLE. But we're always up for a debate on the matter.
